Paul spent 22 years serving in the US Navy on board submarines as a Chief Petty Officer. His profession was running the Navigation Division and safely navigating the 4 nuclear submarines he was stationed aboard during his career. Every decision he made was done with the mind set that his decision had life or death consequences. He was constantly inspecting, questioning, probing and studying. Nothing would get by him. Living underwater for up to six months at a time is just as nerve racking as living in outer space for the same length of time. There is no room for error. Paul approaches his new career with the exact same attitude. When people hire him to inspect their home, he approaches his work as if it had life or death consequences. Some habits die hard.

After Paul Retired from the Navy he decided to take his hobby of home improvement and start his own company. He worked as a home improvement specialist for 2 years while he finished his professional education requirements for the home inspection profession.
